Leading Israeli doctors become new target of fund pursuing IDF soldiers

The Hind Rajab Foundation has filed a complaint with the International Criminal Court against the Israel Medical Association and leading doctors, accusing them of involvement in the torture of Palestinian detainees at the Sde Teiman base. The publication notes that these are allegations, not proven facts, and characterizes the foundation's activities as part of a legal campaign against Israel.

The anti-Israel Hind Rajab Foundation has filed a complaint with the Prosecutor's Office of the International Criminal Court (ICC) against the Israel Medical Association, several senior doctors, and officials from Israel's Ministries of Health and Defense. The complaint alleges that these individuals were involved in the torture and mistreatment of Palestinian detainees at the Sde Teiman facility starting October 7, 2023. The foundation claims that by November 2025, at least 29 detainees had died at the facility. Among those named in the document are Israel Medical Association President Professor Zion Hagay and Director General Lea Wapner. The publication emphasizes that these are allegations outlined in the complaint, not facts established by a court ruling. Israeli representatives characterize the foundation's activities as part of a legal and information campaign against Israel aimed at deterring IDF soldiers from traveling abroad. It is noted that the foundation has filed over 90 complaints in approximately 30 countries, but only in isolated cases have they led to initial procedural actions.
