Jews in New York have had enough - and they launched a new protest against Mamdani

The organizers, students in grades 8–12 and members of the Yeshurun community, emphasized that it was a prayer and not a protest, but the criticism of Mamdani was clear. The event took place against the backdrop of a stabbing that occurred at a synagogue on the Upper West Side in July. Rabbi Benjamin Kraus of SAR said: "The students returned to school with fear, but mainly with a need to say something. We are here. This is the largest diaspora city, and we are not going anywhere." However, not all members of the Jewish community agreed with the move, viewing it as a political protest. Mamdani responded: "I welcome them. They can hold a prayer rally, or I've heard some even describe it as a protest. Whatever it is — they have a place to do it outside Gracie Mansion."
