London police are investigating an attack on a Jewish man who tried to stop anti-Israel graffiti from being painted. The incident is being treated as a hate crime motivated by antisemitism. The victim, Dan Leven, linked the graffiti to the Green Party's decision to declare Zionism racism.

London police are investigating an attack on 52-year-old Jewish man Dan Leven, who attempted to prevent the application of anti-Israel graffiti. The incident occurred on the evening of Tuesday, October 6, in the Holborn and St Pancras constituency. Leven noticed two activists applying a stencil that called Labour Party candidate Sagal Abdi-Wali a "puppet of genocidal Israel." Leven demanded they stop, after which one of the activists began beating him, kicking his legs, and then punching and kicking his head and ribs as he fell. London police classified the incident as a possible antisemitic hate crime. Leven himself linked the appearance of such graffiti to the Green Party's recent decision to declare Zionism a racist phenomenon, noting that Green activists used similar stencils during the election campaign.
