Israeli travelers remain stranded in Dubai after Israeli airlines canceled rescue flights, following disruptions from an incident aboard a flydubai flight to Israel and the suspension of service on the route. Nava Koster, an Israeli stranded since Tuesday, told Walla that an alternative flight she booked for Thursday was also canceled. Koster departed on September 27 for an organized tour of Sri Lanka with Israeli travel company Eshet Tours. The group was scheduled to return from Sri Lanka on October 6 via Dubai, with a connecting flydubai flight to Tel Aviv. Koster alleged that Eshet Tours abandoned the group and cut off all contact, leaving them without hotel, alternative flights, transportation, or food. Two group members nearing 80 need medication. Israeli airline Arkia announced its rescue flights from Dubai to Israel were canceled after authorities revoked permits for Israeli airlines to operate flights from Dubai. Eshet Tours said it remains in contact with passengers and is working to bring them home.
