Likud strengthens - and the battle against Eisenkot heats up | Ma'ariv's seat poll

A Ma'ariv seat poll shows Likud gaining one seat, leading to a tie between the coalition bloc and the Zionist opposition bloc – 52 seats each. The opposition weakens by one seat due to a decline in the Democrats. The gap between Eisenkot and Netanyahu on suitability for prime minister remains 6% in favor of Eisenkot. 38% of the public want Netanyahu to continue as prime minister.

A Ma'ariv seat poll, conducted by Lazar Research headed by Dr. Menachem Lazar, indicates a strengthening of the Likud party by one seat this week. As a result, the coalition bloc has 52 seats, equaling the Zionist opposition bloc, which weakened by one seat due to a decline in the Democrats party. Within the blocs, Otzma Yehudit dropped by one seat while Religious Zionism gained one seat. The Arab parties maintain their strength with 12 seats. In the poll, the Yashar! party led by Gadi Eisenkot leads with 21 seats, Likud is second with 20, and Yesh Atid is third with 13. On suitability for prime minister, the gap between Eisenkot (46%) and Netanyahu (40%) remains at 6% as in the previous poll. 38% of the public want Netanyahu to continue in his role, compared to 24% who prefer Eisenkot. A majority of Israelis (53%) support a Haredi partnership in the coalition. The poll was conducted on October 7-8 among 700 respondents.
