Israel warned the US and Germany about an Iranian intention to attack American military bases in Germany, according to the German economic newspaper WirtschaftsWoche. According to the report, Iranian intelligence examined an attack on the Ramstein and Spangdahlem air force bases, which are used by the US for operations in the Middle East. The Israeli warning was delivered about three weeks ago, citing several anonymous Western intelligence sources. In response, the US announced on Monday the removal of B-1 bombers from the British RAF Fairford air force base, due to an Iran-related threat. A source told Reuters that Germany has been monitoring increased Iranian activity for weeks. The German Defense Ministry declined to comment, and a US European Command spokesperson said the command remains vigilant and assesses the security environment. The Iranian and Israeli embassies in Berlin did not respond to a request for comment.
