The Qatari newspaper Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed reported that Iran's deputy foreign minister arrived in Doha, the capital of Qatar, amid reports of progress in negotiations between Iran and the US. Meanwhile, Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, issued a militant statement in which he threatened that if Israel and the US attack again, Iran will determine the timing and conditions for ending the ceasefire. Khamenei ordered an update of the target bank to ensure that all enemy assets are within range of Iranian forces. Saudi channels reported a draft proposal including an Iranian commitment regarding the nuclear stockpile, the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and confidence-building measures. However, the draft was not approved by either side. The Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported that Iran does not oppose mutual commitments regarding the opening of the Strait of Hormuz but objects to nuclear concessions that include access for IAEA inspectors.
