Tens of thousands, including high-ranking military and civilian officials and students, participated in demonstrations in Tehran and 900 other locations across Iran on Wednesday, marking the 47th anniversary of the storming of the US Embassy and hostage-taking in 1979. The march began at 'Palestine Square' and proceeded along 'Taleghani Street' toward the former US Embassy building, described in Iran as the 'Den of Spies'. Protesters carried flags of Iran, Palestine, and Hezbollah banners, as well as various placards, and chanted slogans against the United States and Israel. These events are organized annually under the name 'National Day of Confronting Global Arrogance', this year under the slogan 'Covenant with the Martyrs and Confronting Arrogance'.
