Fuel prices to drop by 42 agorot, but could jump by a shekel within days

The Ministry of Energy announced a 42-agorot reduction in the price of a liter of 95-octane gasoline to 7.35 shekels starting in early November, but warned that if the temporary order on the excise tax is not extended, the price could jump to 8.35 shekels as early as November 5.

The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announced a significant reduction in fuel prices for November 2026. Starting from midnight between Saturday and Sunday, the maximum price for a liter of 95-octane gasoline at self-service stations will be 7.35 shekels, a decrease of 42 agorot from the previous price. However, the Ministry of Energy clarified that if the temporary order regarding the excise tax is not extended, the price could jump to 8.35 shekels per liter as early as the night between November 4 and 5, an increase of a full shekel within days. The surcharge for full service at gas stations will remain unchanged at 26 agorot per liter, so the price for full-service fuel will be 7.61 shekels. The Ministry of Energy recommended that drivers compare prices between stations.
