Iranian judicial authorities executed a man named Ali Sina Mostafavi by hanging on Wednesday morning, after convicting him of joining what they described as the "military forces of the American-Israeli enemy" and participating in "terrorist operations" in the desert city of Kerman in central Iran. According to the Mizan news agency, affiliated with the judiciary, Mostafavi was also accused of sending videos and images to "enemy broadcast networks" during the mass protests that erupted last January. The agency indicated that Mostafavi was a supporter of Iranian anarchists linked to Reza Pahlavi, the son of the shah who was overthrown in 1979. This execution is among dozens of executions carried out by Iran against men linked to the war and the widespread protests that the country witnessed at the beginning of the year.
