Iran accelerates restoration of nuclear facility after Israeli strikes

The facility was struck twice by Israel: in October 2024 and March 2026. Images from Vantor dated September 13 reveal a large canopy erected over the damaged structure, partially concealing construction work from satellite and aerial surveillance. According to the Institute for Science and International Security, bulldozers, cranes, concrete mixers, and dump trucks are operating at the site. New concrete structures are appearing near the facility, which may enhance its resilience to potential future strikes. Restoration work after the latest strike began in June 2026. The facility is linked to the secret Amad program, which Western intelligence agencies believed was associated with nuclear weapons development. Iran denies seeking nuclear weapons. The current purpose of the restored facility remains unknown.
