TLVFest, Israel's premier international LGBT film festival, returns to the Tel Aviv Cinematheque for its 21st edition, running October 22-31. This year marks a leadership transition: artistic director Gili Porat and producer Yael Lavie take over from founder Yair Hochner, who built the festival over two decades into a cornerstone of local queer culture. The festival was previously named one of the top 10 LGBTQ+ film festivals globally by IndieWire. The international lineup features award-winners including Markus Schleinzer's 'Rose', which earned Sandra Hüller the Silver Bear at Berlin, and Dylan Meyer's crime comedy 'The Wrong Girls' starring Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat. Adam Shankman's camp comedy 'Stop! That! Train!' featuring RuPaul is also screening. The domestic program includes premieres of Yuval Hadadi's 'A Man Walks on the Street', Moshe Rosenthal's Ophir Award-winning 'Tell Me Everything', and Nitzan Gilady's final film 'And Thou Shalt Love'. The festival also features documentary competitions, short film showcases, and a 35mm retrospective of the Wachowski sisters' 'Bound'.
