An indictment was filed today (Saturday) against the son of a famous singer, a 28-year-old resident of Modi'in, for drug possession not for personal use. He was arrested on September 24 after four customers complained that they bought drugs from him. His mobile phone contained correspondence with customers, and over half a kilogram of cannabis was seized from his vehicle, divided into dozens of bags, some wrapped as gifts. During his interrogations, he maintained his right to silence. The police prosecution is seeking to establish that he is a drug dealer and to confiscate his vehicle, and does not rule out requesting a prison sentence. His detention was extended until October 2. The suspect was arrested during an operational activity by officers of the Oz station in the Jerusalem district, who noticed a vehicle that aroused their suspicion. The suspect's name is still under a publication ban.
