The IDF is completing its preparations for election day, which will take place in 19 days, in order to allow all soldiers to exercise their right to vote on the bases and in the various sectors where they serve. At every military polling station, a committee of two soldiers will operate; they will undergo advance training and will be responsible for verifying voters' identities by means of a military ID or a valid civilian ID. At the end of voting, the ballot boxes will be sealed and collected by regional election officers, who will transfer them to the Central Elections Committee at the Knesset building. From that point on, responsibility passes entirely to the Central Elections Committee, which will open the ballot boxes and count the votes without any IDF involvement. In the military, it is emphasized that the separation between managing the voting within the military system and counting the votes is meant to ensure a proper and constitutional process.
