Eliav Chaim Tsefalmas, an IDF soldier from the 603rd Battalion of the 7th Brigade, was killed today (Thursday) when a Humvee overturned during an operational activity in the Litani River area in southern Lebanon. Several other soldiers were injured in varying degrees in the incident and were evacuated to hospitals. The article recalls a previous incident from August 5, in which Maj. Harel Birnstock and Staff Sgt. Tamir Vaknin fell from an explosive device detonated in a building in the Majdal Zon area of southern Lebanon. In that incident, four other soldiers were seriously injured. Following the incident, the IDF attacked weapons depots and command centers in Lebanon, and the IDF Spokesperson accused Hezbollah of violating the ceasefire.
