How to wake up from a nightmare / Raanan Shaked

In an opinion column in ynet, Raanan Shaked argues that the upcoming election is the most important head count in Israel's history, one that will decide which of two realities Israel has chosen to live in — a reality of law, morality and sanity, or an autocratic, fascist and criminal reality under Netanyahu. He calls for voting for 'Israel, the original version.'

In an opinion column in ynet, Raanan Shaked argues that the upcoming election is the most important head count in Israel's history, one that will decide which of two realities Israel has chosen to live in. He describes Netanyahu's government as corrupt, spineless and indifferent to the fate of the state, and accuses it of abandoning hostages, sacrificing sons, surrendering to the Haredim and crushing education, security, transportation and the environment. Shaked claims that half the country lives in a different reality from the other half, and that Netanyahu and his people are convinced reality does not apply to them. According to him, another Netanyahu victory will turn the alternative reality into the permanent Israeli reality — autocratic, fascist and criminal. He calls on readers to vote for 'Israel, the original version,' for values and sanity, and to wake up from the nightmare.
