An indictment has been filed against a resident of Tamra accused of spying for Hamas. Crime desk chief Li Ayesh published this evening (Saturday) on "The Weekend Magazine" with Michal Rabinowitz the suspect's correspondence with Hamas operatives. The correspondence reveals that the suspect contacted the official email of the Al-Qassam Brigades several times, and also contacted Iranian intelligence. The connection began as early as 2024, when he received instructions on how to transfer donations using cryptocurrency. In August 2025, the suspect tried to renew the connection and wrote: "How can I contact you secretly? I am one of the Arabs of the interior!" In response, Hamas operatives replied: "Go to war, every light-footed and heavy-bodied person, rise up to struggle by sacrificing your property and your souls for God." Security officials point to a sharp increase in cases of this kind, and to a phenomenon where Israelis try to work for several terrorist entities simultaneously. An investigation by the police, Shin Bet, and Northern District Police thwarted his activity.
