Hit her in the head with a hammer and hid her body in a barrel: indictment against the murderer of Fatima Rajabi

An indictment was filed against Salah Othman, a resident of At-Tur in Jerusalem, for the murder of Fatima Rajabi over a financial debt. Othman purchased a metal barrel in advance, struck the victim in the head with a hammer, hid her body in the barrel, poured sealant, and withdrew 15,000 shekels from her account.

The Jerusalem District Attorney's Office filed an indictment against Salah Othman, a resident of the At-Tur neighborhood, for the murder of Fatima Rajabi. According to the indictment, the motive for the murder was a financial debt Othman owed to the victim. Several days before the murder, Othman purchased a metal barrel and hid it in a storage room in his yard, intending to conceal her body in it. About three weeks ago, Othman met Rajabi in Azariya and drove her to his home in At-Tur, after telling her he would bring her money. When they arrived, and after the victim continued to demand her money, Othman took a hammer from the trunk and struck her forcefully in the head. After noticing she was still moving, he struck her again. Following the murder, Othman drove to various locations in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv with the body in his car, placed it in the barrel, poured sealant over it, and withdrew 15,000 shekels from her credit card. He hid the hammer and discarded the mobile phones. Othman hid for several days until he met with a relative who turned him in to the police. The indictment charges him with aggravated murder, destruction of evidence, theft of a credit card, fraud, and theft.
