In an interview with 103FM, former Deputy Shin Bet head Israel Hasson harshly attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid the confrontation with senior security officials. Hasson said that Netanyahu "attacked here to a level that was betrayal," referring to the lawsuit filed by Shin Bet head Ronen Bar against the Prime Minister. According to Hasson, this is a lawsuit by the entire Shin Bet, not just Bar personally. Hasson recounted that he sat through the Shin Bet investigation into the events of October 7 for four and a half hours and left without answers. He noted that 3,000 people participated in the attack, and the security establishment had no concrete warning. Hasson also addressed the role of military secretary Avi Gil, explaining that the full intelligence picture is with him, and that to avoid "confusing the mind" of the Prime Minister, information is passed through an orderly channel. He expressed sorrow that the situation has reached public confrontations instead of thorough examination, and called for the establishment of a state commission of inquiry to reveal the source of the problem to the public and prevent its recurrence.
