Health Ministry Updates: Boil Water Order Reduced in Karmiel

The Health Ministry has canceled the boil water order for most parts of Karmiel, after water test results at most sampling points were found to be satisfactory and the water corporation carried out corrective actions. The directive remains in effect in the industrial zone, parts of the HaMeyasdim neighborhood and the southern neighborhood, and several public institutions.

The Health Ministry announced last night (Thursday) the cancellation of the boil water order for most parts of Karmiel, after satisfactory results were received from most sampling points in the city and after the water corporation carried out corrective actions. However, in several areas of the city, residents are still required to boil water before drinking, brushing teeth, preparing food, and medications. The areas where the directive remains in effect are the entire industrial zone, parts of the HaMeyasdim neighborhood, including the streets HaGalil, Tzahal, HaCharuv, HaZayit, HaGefen, HaTe'ena, Kalanit, HaEmek, Ma'aleh HaSavyonim, Ma'aleh HaRakafot, and Narkis. In the southern neighborhood, the requirement continues on Ma'aleh Hatzev, HaPrahim 1-64, and Morad HaGai at odd numbers 1-41. Additionally, the directive continues to apply at the Cultural Hall, the Histadrut House, the municipal community center, the stadium, the conservatory, the library, Ohel Baruch, the shooting range, and Ofira Park. As a reminder, two days ago the Health Ministry issued a directive for all Karmiel residents to boil tap water, following abnormal results in water sampling.
