935 days without Haymanot: Eisenkot meets with Kasau family - and promises to contact Shin Bet chief

Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Yashar party, met today (Thursday) with the father, Tesfai Kasau, and older sister, Yeros, of Haymanot Kasau, who disappeared from the absorption center in Safed 935 days ago. The meeting was held at the party's offices. The family requested increased Shin Bet involvement in the investigation, and Eisenkot committed to contacting Shin Bet chief David Zini to clarify the depth of the service's involvement and request that all efforts be made. The Shin Bet is already assisting the police, and the case is managed by Lahav 433, but the family has been demanding for months that responsibility be formally transferred to the Shin Bet. Tesfai Kasau asked Eisenkot that if he becomes prime minister in the future, he would act to transfer the case. Eisenkot also spoke with Jewish Agency chairman Doron Almog in an attempt to help improve the family's living conditions. Haymanot was last seen on February 25, 2024, when she was nine years old.
