Health Ministry: Occupation's claims of 'gunmen and weapons' in hospitals are lies

The Gaza Health Ministry denounced Israeli allegations of gunmen and weapons in hospitals, calling them repeated lies. Spokesman Khalil al-Daqran said in a press conference that these claims are a pretext to justify targeting the healthcare system in its fourth year of aggression. He called on the international community to intervene to protect medical staff.

The Gaza Health Ministry denounced repeated Israeli allegations claiming the presence of gunmen or weapons storage inside hospitals and health facilities, describing them as false and misleading lies. Ministry spokesman Khalil al-Daqran, during a press conference held inside the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah on Wednesday, categorically denied these fabrications, stressing that recycling these flimsy pretexts is merely manufacturing false justifications aimed at covering up the Israeli war machine and paving the way for further undermining and destroying what remains of health infrastructure. Al-Daqran explained that what is inside hospitals today are only wounded and sick people fighting for their lives, and medical and humanitarian staff working with minimal resources under exceptionally harsh conditions, amid a severe shortage of medicines. He reiterated that the doors of all hospitals are open to international organizations to verify these claims. He called on the international community to urgently intervene to halt the Israeli destruction machine and provide international protection for medical staff and institutions.
