Head of the Joint List, Youssef Jabareen, said the primary goal is to topple Benjamin Netanyahu's government in the Knesset elections scheduled for October 27. Jabareen asserted that exceeding 70% Arab voter turnout will prevent Netanyahu's return, noting that polls show a tie between Netanyahu's camp and the Jewish opposition camp at about 52 seats each, making the Joint List's votes decisive in determining the next prime minister. Jabareen described Netanyahu's government as "fascist and colonialist" and pointed to the suffering of Arab citizens over the past four years from the genocide war on Gaza, settler terrorism in the West Bank, and repressive policies. He explained that the Joint List will use its electoral power to protect the issues of Palestinians inside Israel, equality, and protect the people from the government's brutality. Jabareen refused to announce support for "Yashar" party leader Gadi Eisenkot in forming a government, stressing that they are waiting to see the political program of whoever wants to be the alternative to Netanyahu, and that they seek real change in policies, not just a change of person.
