Shmuel Ben-Ezra, Director General of the Israel Civil Aviation Authority, has appointed reserve Major General Moti Baruch to lead a team tasked with conducting a thorough inspection of all safety aspects of foreign civil aviation in Israel. Baruch previously served as commander of the ground forces training and exercises command and as commander of a strategic unit of the IDF. The appointment was made against the backdrop of a need to strengthen oversight of foreign air carriers operating in Israel.
