Haverford professor accused of threatening, stalking Jewish person online

A Haverford College professor, Guangtian Ha, was arrested and charged with cyberstalking a Jewish person, allegedly sending antisemitic messages including death threats and posting the victim's home address online over several months. The college placed him on administrative leave.

Guangtian Ha, a religion professor at Haverford College in Pennsylvania, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with cyberstalking a Jewish person over several months. According to a federal indictment, Ha sent the victim approximately 50 messages between October 2025 and May 2026, including antisemitic slurs, death threats, and the victim's home address. Haverford President Wendy Raymond placed Ha on administrative leave and barred him from campus. Ha was previously named in a 2024 antisemitism lawsuit against the school, which Haverford settled in August. The lawsuit accused Ha of writing posts attacking Jews "committed to Israel." Raymond said she was "heartbroken and furious" about the allegations, calling the online attacks "heinous" and "antisemitic in nature."
