Haters of Israel, flesh of our flesh, who will destroy the Zionist enterprise

Ben-Dror Yemini argues in his column that Jewish hooligans who harm Palestinians and diplomats are 'flesh of our flesh' of the settlement movement, and that nationalist crime, supported by rabbis like Rabbi Dov Lior, is bringing sanctions closer and could destroy the Zionist enterprise if not stopped.

Ben-Dror Yemini's column in ynet, titled 'Haters of Israel, flesh of our flesh, who will destroy the Zionist enterprise.' Yemini opens with a story from 1947 about Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda Kook who condemned harassment of Arabs, and compares it to the present where he sees malicious harassment of Arabs as routine in certain circles. He mentions specific incidents: a confrontation in the village of Falach where photographer Heidi Levin was injured, and harassment of European diplomats in the village of Taybeh. Yemini claims that the regional commander calls the disturbances 'Jewish terrorism' and the Chief of Staff is furious, but the government ties their hands. He quotes Rabbi Dov Lior who issued a halachic ruling that Palestinian land is owned by the people of Israel, calling this encouragement of terrorism. Yemini warns that this is a significant group of hundreds to thousands, armed and politically backed, that could bring destruction like Hezbollah in Lebanon. He argues that nationalist crime is bringing international sanctions closer than haters of Israel abroad, and calls the criminals 'haters of Israel, flesh of our flesh' who must be removed from among us before they destroy the Zionist enterprise.
