Hamas warns of escalating Al-Aqsa incursions and calls for Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic action

Hamas warned of escalating settler incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, following a visit by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir to the site, and called for unified Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic action to confront Judaization plans.

Hamas, through its political bureau member and head of the Jerusalem Affairs office, Haroun Nasser al-Din, warned of the escalating frequency of settler incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The warning came after Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir stormed the mosque on Monday morning, the third day of the so-called Sukkot holiday. Nasser al-Din stated that these incursions represent a continuation of the Israeli government's policies towards the Palestinian people and their holy sites, and are part of a plan aimed at changing the character and identity of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. He affirmed that these policies will not succeed, pointing to the resilience of Jerusalemites. He called for a unified Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic stance, and urged Jerusalemites, Palestinians in the 1948 territories, and the West Bank to intensify their presence at the mosque to confront Judaization plans.
