Hamas and Fidan discuss Palestinian developments and efforts to stop the aggression
The head of Hamas's political bureau, Khalil al-Hayya, discussed with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan the political, field and humanitarian developments in the Palestinian territories, and Turkish efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza. Al-Hayya stressed the movement's commitment to national unity and its readiness for a comprehensive national dialogue. Fidan affirmed continued consultation and support for efforts to stop the aggression and meet humanitarian needs.
The head of Hamas's political bureau, Dr. Khalil al-Hayya, and a delegation from the movement's leadership discussed with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan the latest political, field and humanitarian developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, and Turkey's role in supporting the rights of the Palestinian people. The movement said al-Hayya reviewed the situation in the Gaza Strip amid continued Israeli bombardment and ongoing threats, and the worsening humanitarian suffering caused by destruction, displacement and shortages of basic needs, as well as the role of the Peace Council in obligating the occupation to what was agreed. Al-Hayya stressed the movement's commitment to achieving Palestinian national unity and its readiness to take part in a comprehensive national dialogue. Fidan, for his part, affirmed the importance of continued communication and consultation on the various Palestinian developments, and of continuing efforts aimed at stopping the aggression. The Hamas delegation included Mousa Abu Marzouk, Basem Naim and Mousa Akari.
