Merav Hajaj, mother of late Deputy Shir Hajaj and an activist in the Choosing Life forum, claimed in an interview with Channel 14 that the forum previously transferred materials to the Shin Bet and law enforcement agencies indicating alleged financial ties between the Ra'am party, associations, and terrorist organizations. According to her, over a thousand pages of investigation were submitted to the authorities three or four years ago, but were not handled. Hajaj harshly criticized the authorities and warned against the shelving of the Ra'amgate affair. She claimed that one of the suspects arrested in the ballot box affair is a key activist in Ra'am and the Aid 48 association, and that the forum examined financial ties between the party and additional organizations. Hajaj expressed opposition to the inclusion of Ra'am and the Joint List in the Knesset and government, and called for the election of representatives who desire coexistence.
