The Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Ministry revealed that the Global Sumud Flotilla, the organization behind the Gaza-bound flotilla in which Greta Thunberg participated, is recruiting international volunteers for activism in the West Bank ahead of the olive harvest. The program includes a two-week stay, training in direct action, political and media training, and aims to turn participants into long-term activists against Zionism in their home countries. The ministry's National Command Center identified the recruitment and warned that Israel will track and act against foreign activists using legal tools. The organization's registration page describes the initiative as led by Palestinian organizers, with a deadline of October 7, 2026. The ministry's director-general, Avi Cohen-Scali, stated that Israel will not serve as a playground for foreign anarchists and will act against activists and their infrastructure both in Israel and abroad.
