Dutch far-right leader Geert Wilders congratulated Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the election exit poll results. In a post on his X account, Wilders wrote: "Mazel Tov Bibi." The greeting comes against the backdrop of Wilders' consistent support for Netanyahu. A few days before the elections, Wilders published a strong post of support in which he wrote: "You deserve to win on Tuesday, my friend Bibi." He explained his support by stating that "defending Israel against the terrorism of Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas is not only an Israeli interest, but also a European one." Wilders concluded with a compliment: "You have done more to protect our freedom than all European leaders combined. Thank you very much." Wilders heads the Party for Freedom (PVV) in the Netherlands and is known for his strong stance against radical Islam and his sympathy for Israel.
