From the father's embrace to the question of absence.. Hamdi grows up in a tent

The story of a Palestinian family from Gaza who lost their father in an Israeli airstrike in 2023, while the child Hamdi (then two years old) survived with severe injuries. The story of the Khalifa family from the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza is told by the widow Doaa Khalifa (45 years old). On the morning of December 1, 2023, while she was preparing breakfast, the area was subjected to a violent Israeli bombardment that lasted seven minutes. Her husband Khaled (48 years old) was killed in front of the house, and her child Hamdi (two years old) was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. Hamdi survived but suffers from physical and psychological scars. The family now lives in a dilapidated tent with no source of income, suffering from harsh conditions including attacks by dogs and rodents at night. Doaa concludes with an appeal to the world to end their suffering.
