Fire and rescue crews in Hadera saved four dogs and two caged parrots from a house fire on Monday, the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority announced. The fire began in the home's yard, spreading to a pergola and then the structure itself. Captain Idan Haliva, deputy commander of the Hadera firefighting team, said a significant amount of the house's contents were burning, including a pair of electric bicycles and lithium batteries. No injuries were reported, although the structure sustained heavy damage. The article also briefly notes a separate fatal fire in the Golan on Sunday, where a woman was pulled from a burning home but later died.
