Former Melisron CEO Ofir Sarid passes away at 54
Ofir Sarid, former CEO of Melisron, passed away at age 54 from a severe illness discovered about three weeks before his death. Sarid is survived by his wife and three children. He began his career at the company in 2011 as CFO, and in October 2019 was appointed CEO. About two weeks ago he went on sick leave, and last week the company announced the end of his tenure.
Ofir Sarid, former CEO of Melisron, passed away today (Monday) at age 54 from a severe illness discovered about three weeks before his death. Sarid is survived by his wife and three children. He began his career at the company in 2011 as CFO of Melisron, responsible for its financial and business operations. In October 2019 he was appointed CEO. On September 2, Melisron announced he was going on sick leave due to medical circumstances. As his condition deteriorated, the company announced last week the end of his tenure. Oren Hillinger, CFO, was appointed acting CEO until a permanent CEO is named. Melisron stated: "The board of directors, management, and employees mourn his untimely passing. As a leading, innovative, and professional CEO, Ofir led Melisron with determination and consistency toward growth and contributed greatly to establishing its position as a leading company in the real estate market."
