Shin Bet files complaint against Channel 12: "The publication endangered Netanyahu's life"

The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) filed a complaint with the chief military censor against Channel 12, following the publication of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's secret visit to the United Arab Emirates. The report, broadcast on Channel 12 at 21:38, revealed the visit while Netanyahu's plane was still outside Israeli borders. The plane landed in Israel only at 22:27, nearly 50 minutes after the broadcast. The Shin Bet claims the timing of the publication created a real danger to the security of the Prime Minister, his wife Sara Netanyahu, the head of the Mossad, the head of the National Security Council, the military secretary Major General Guy Markizano, the head of the Shin Bet security division, the air crew, and the delegation's security team. Additionally, it is alleged that the publication exposed operational methods of the security apparatus, which could jeopardize future operations. The Mossad also addressed the severity of the incident, defining the leak as a "serious security threat" to the security of the Prime Minister and the delegation. The current complaint comes about two months after a previous confrontation surrounding Channel 12 and the leaking of information about Operation "Roar of the Lion." This time, the Shin Bet itself approached the military censor and demands that the channel be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law.
