Former mayor banned from city hall: "Pushed the engineer, threatens employees"

The Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court ordered the removal of Yitzhak Buchovza, former mayor of Or Yehuda, from the city hall building for three months and from two senior employees for six months, following a violent incident captured on camera in which he pushed the city engineer.

The Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court ordered Yitzhak Buchovza, former mayor of Or Yehuda, to stay 200 meters away from the city hall building for three months and from two senior municipal employees for six months. The decision came after a violent incident on October 5, captured on camera, during which Buchovza pushed city engineer Leonid Ginzburg. The request for a restraining order was filed by Ginzburg and licensing department manager Limor Zanzouri, who claimed Buchovza frequently arrives at city hall, shouting and lashing out at employees. Judge Dalia Astreicher ruled that pushing a public employee crosses the line from legitimate argument to threatening harassment, and that Buchovza's former status as mayor does not grant him special privileges. Buchovza may continue to receive services from the municipality via courier or email.
