Following Channel 14 investigation: Blow to Hamas-affiliated association in East Jerusalem
The Registrar of Non-Profits revoked the proper management certification for 2026 from the Dar al-Huda al-Namudhajiya association in East Jerusalem, following a Channel 14 investigation. The association did not cooperate with the oversight process and failed to submit required documents.
The Registrar of Non-Profits at the Ministry of Justice revoked the proper management certification for 2026 from the Dar al-Huda al-Namudhajiya association, which operates educational institutions in East Jerusalem. The decision was made following a Channel 14 investigation that revealed alleged ties between the association and Hamas-affiliated elements. The association did not cooperate with the intelligence and investigations division of the authority and failed to submit required documents, thereby violating a fundamental condition for receiving the certification. Investigations claimed that the association, formerly named 'Amsah Dam'at al-Yatim', serves as a subsidiary of 'Lajnat Zakat al-Quds'. Following the publications, Education Committee Chairman MK Zvi Sukkot acted against the Nur al-Huda school in Shuafat, and the Ministry of Education halted budget transfers to it. The Registrar emphasized that the official reason for the decision is the lack of cooperation, not the alleged ties to Hamas.
