The Religious Zionism party is expected to publish a comprehensive plan to strengthen the Negev and Galilee, considered one of the most dramatic in this field in recent years. Unlike past plans that focused on establishing new Jewish communities, this plan centers on a planning and development revolution within the Arab communities themselves. According to details that reached Channel 14, the state is expected to approve for the first time multi-story construction in Arab communities, instead of the low-rise building that characterizes them today. Alongside this, the plan includes a broad development package: public gardens, community centers, country club complexes and swimming pools, cultural halls, sports fields, and academic colleges. Settlement Minister Orit Strock said the goal is to allow Arab residents of the area a normal life with full services. Sources familiar with the details explained that the move is intended to reduce two phenomena: Arab expansion into open spaces, and the movement of Arab residents to nearby Jewish communities such as Safed and Nof HaGalil, which have become mixed cities. It was also claimed that establishing academic colleges is meant to prevent young Arabs from studying at institutions in East Jerusalem or Arab countries, where, according to party sources, they learn to hate Israel and become close to terrorism. The plan is intended to be carried out as part of the party's demand to transfer the Planning Administration and the Israel Land Authority to its control.
