First publication: Katz will act to issue administrative orders against far-left activists - including those from the Gaza flotilla

Defense Minister Israel Katz has instructed the issuance of administrative restraining orders against far-left activists, including foreign activists from the organization that led the Gaza flotilla, following a request by Yesha Council Chairman Israel Gantz. The orders are intended to prevent activists from reaching the olive harvest areas in Judea and Samaria with the aim of creating provocations and confrontations.

Defense Minister Israel Katz has instructed the issuance of administrative restraining orders against far-left activists, including foreign activists from the organization that led the Gaza flotilla. The move comes following a request by Yesha Council Chairman and head of the Binyamin Regional Council, Israel Gantz, on behalf of local authorities in Judea and Samaria. The request was made against the backdrop of the start of the olive harvest season this week in Judea and Samaria and the preparation of far-left activists to arrive in the area to create provocations and confrontations. Gantz noted that the organization "Global Suood Flotilla," which led the Gaza flotilla with the participation of Greta Thunberg, is recruiting foreign activists for activities in the harvest areas, along with other organizations such as Go Palestine, Protect the Harvest, Faz3a, and the International Solidarity Movement. In response, the minister instructed action to issue restraining orders against activists whose activities endanger order and security in the area. Gantz stated: "The residents of Judea and Samaria are not a backdrop for campaigns by foreign activists. We will not allow extremist activists, Israeli or foreign, to come to the area to create provocations and confrontations."
