Firefighting planes dispatched: Fire threatens school in Umm al-Fahm

A large brush and waste fire broke out near Umm al-Fahm, threatening a nearby school. Westerly to northwesterly winds are intensifying the danger, and heavy smoke is drifting toward the educational institution. Following professional guidance, students and educational staff have been instructed to shelter in classrooms to prevent harm from smoke inhalation. Extensive aerial assistance has been dispatched to the area: four aircraft from the 'Elad' firefighting squadron are dropping foam and fire retardants to contain the fire's epicenter and protect nearby structures. The incident is being managed by the Israel Fire and Rescue Services Coastal District spokesperson.
