Feels strong – expert explains what has changed in the Kremlin's calculations

Political expert Vadim Denisenko stated that Vladimir Putin has changed his rhetoric and feels confident again. According to his assessment, this was influenced by the situation with Patriot, the international situation, and the conflict in the Middle East. Denisenko believes that the Kremlin does not see serious foreign policy problems in the next six months.

Political expert Vadim Denisenko claims that Vladimir Putin has recently changed his rhetoric and is demonstrating greater confidence. According to his observation, the current Putin is noticeably different from how the world saw him on May 9. Denisenko links this to several factors: a possible shortage of missiles for Patriot systems in Ukraine, the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, which he believes showed Moscow the absence of an immediate threat of increased external pressure, and a partial paralysis of Saudi Arabia's oil infrastructure, which increases the importance of Russian oil. The expert notes that Putin is accustomed to planning three to six months ahead and does not see serious foreign policy problems in the near future. At the same time, economic difficulties persist inside Russia, including a budget crisis and corruption scandals, but the authorities continue to tighten control. Denisenko also speaks of the threat of sabotage in Europe and believes that a direct attack on the Baltic states is unlikely before the US elections on November 4, although risks have increased. Regarding Ukraine, he highlights three tasks: maintain resilience, find countermeasures against drones, and revise diplomatic strategy.
