"Fash Farsh al-Shamali" camps.. 6,000 families appeal to international institutions to save them before winter
In the "Fash Farsh al-Shamali" area in the Mawasi of Rafah, about 6,000 displaced families are appealing to international institutions to provide shelter, food, water, and medicine before winter arrives. The families live in fragile tents and shelters, complaining of unequal access to aid and a lack of adequate response as the rainy and cold season approaches.
In the "Fash Farsh al-Shamali" area in the Mawasi of Rafah, displaced families organized a protest rally during which they issued an urgent appeal to international institutions, donor agencies, and NGOs. The families demand the provision of shelter supplies, food, water, lighting, medicine, and hygiene materials, warning of the dangers of winter that threatens the lives of tens of thousands. The area includes about 35 camps housing nearly 6,000 families, including large numbers of children, women, and the elderly, most of whom live in tents and shelters lacking basic protection from cold, rain, and wind. The displaced complain of unequal access to aid between camps and a lack of fairness in distribution. Some families have not received any assistance since their displacement months ago. Camp official Ahmed Hassan al-Najjar stated that partial relief projects were implemented but did not cover everyone, and some stopped after covering part of the families. The families demand urgent intervention to provide tents, shelters, blankets, and food and health packages, warning that current shelter conditions could turn into a more severe humanitarian crisis with the onset of rains.
