Families of October 7 victims opened the 26th Knesset election day with a moment of silence at the Hostages Square in Tel Aviv at 06:29, about half an hour before the polls opened. The family members called on the public to go out and vote, while remembering their loved ones who were murdered or kidnapped. Shelly Mosh Yogev, mother of Libi Cohen, who was murdered at the Nova party, said: "Vote for Libi. Take Libi with you to the ballot box, the light she brought to the world." Ofri Tzur, who lost her brother, Captain Amir Tzur, in Kfar Aza, said: "My Amir teaches me what responsibility is — go out and vote." Also, Menashe Ran, father of Omri Ram, and Yona Adam, mother of Mafel Adam, spoke. The families asked the public to remember the murdered at the ballot box, since their loved ones will not be able to exercise their democratic right.
