The Be'er Sheva Magistrate's Court extended the detention of a couple from Ashdod suspected in the Botox scam. The woman, 21 and mother of a one-year-old baby, was placed under house arrest for ten days under restrictive conditions, with permission to exercise her right to vote in the elections. The husband's detention was extended by five days, contrary to the police request for a ten-day extension. The two are suspected of presenting false pretenses to medical suppliers and purchasing materials for cosmetic treatments. The investigation revealed that the woman had a doctor sign a letter of intent, after which they approached medical supply companies, presenting themselves as owners of several clinics. The doctor terminated the engagement at an early stage, but the couple continued making purchases. The materials were stored in inadequate conditions. Judge Tzabari ruled that the two posed a danger to public health.
