Following a covert investigation, indictments were filed against five additional defendants, including brothers Shai and Michael Benamo, for attempting to take over the food delivery industry in Kiryat Gat through threats and extortion. According to the indictments, filed at the Be'er Sheva District Court, the defendants allegedly tried to force business owners to contract with the delivery company "On Time" and prevent them from terminating the agreement. The investigation, led by the Central Unit of the Lachish District in cooperation with the National Guard of the Border Police, involved undercover agents who set up a fictitious company named "World of Deliveries" and collected evidence. In August 2026, the investigation moved to the overt phase, and the suspects were arrested. These indictments join additional charges filed earlier this month against Eyal Nager and Maor Azriel in a similar case in Ashdod.
