Lt. Col. (res.) Amit Yagur, a former senior official in the IDF Intelligence Directorate, assesses that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is trying to prevent the renewal of the American attack against Iran. According to him, Erdogan has spoken at least twice with US President Donald Trump in the past week as part of efforts to block the military move. Meanwhile, the United States continues to concentrate military forces in the region, including an additional aircraft carrier on its way to the area and amphibious forces. Yagur also pointed to the internal divisions in Tehran between the Revolutionary Guards and the civilian government, which he says may affect the continuation of the campaign, and called for more media attention to be devoted to them.
