A serial burglar who entered homes through roofs was caught after being documented by a police drone in Kibbutz Eilon. The incident occurred on September 17 in the morning. The suspect entered a yard, climbed onto the roof, moved toward the laundry room, lifted a shutter, and went inside. Inside the house, he locked the front door from within and collected jewelry from the bedrooms. He exited through the same spot, got into his car, and tried to flee. Police forces arrested him after a chase, during which he attempted to ram police cars. In his possession were the jewelry and burglary tools. The indictment also attributes to him another break-in to an apartment in Haifa, where he tore a safe fixed to the wall. Inside the safe were two magazines for a Glock pistol, ammunition, a check for 100,000 shekels, and a passport. The investigation was conducted by the interrogation unit of the Northern District Police. The jewelry identified by the victims, including a ring worth 5,000 shekels, gold earrings with a diamond worth 2,000 shekels, and a Rolex watch worth tens of thousands of shekels, will be returned to their owners.
