The boy came out of the school restroom with an axe and suddenly lunged at the girl standing in the hallway, striking her several times in the head, shoulder, and arm. Tragic consequences were averted thanks to a parent who happened to be in the building and subdued the attacker in time. An ambulance and police arrived at the scene. The injured girl was conscious and was urgently taken to the University Children's Clinical Hospital in Bialystok. The suspect was detained at the scene, and the police are conducting an investigation to determine the motives.
