Former hostage Eli Sharabi said in an interview with Kan News that the prime minister is responsible for the October 7 failure, clarifying that responsibility is not the same as legal guilt. Sharabi spoke ahead of the third anniversary of the events, and ahead of the families' ceremony he will host. He shared his complex feelings ahead of the date, and spoke about coping with life since returning from captivity.

Former hostage Eli Sharabi was interviewed this morning (Thursday) by Chen Lieberman and Gili Cohen on Kan News on Reshet Bet, and addressed the prime minister's responsibility for the October 7 failure. Sharabi said: "I think every three-year-old understands that the prime minister is responsible." He emphasized that guilt belongs to investigative committees and courts, but responsibility is a clear concept. Sharabi spoke ahead of the third anniversary of the October 7 events, which will occur in the coming week, and ahead of his hosting of the families' ceremony organized by the "Kumu" movement, which will take place on that day. Sharabi shared his feelings: "This is a very complex week for me. Today is Noya's birthday, in two days it's Yael's birthday, and then comes October 7. I am with the thoughts and memories, and remember Noya, Yael, Lian, and Yossi every moment of my life." When asked about his life since returning from captivity, he said: "In captivity you count every minute and are mainly focused on not making mistakes that could cost you your life. When you return you feel secure again, and then you look for your way and not let any trigger disrupt your life."
