British prosecutors have filed indictments against two men, Mohammed Abdulkarim (24) and Numan Asgir (24), suspected of aiding Iran. According to the suspicion, the two acted on behalf of Iranian intelligence services at the Royal Air Force base "Fairford" in southwestern England. The base holds strategic importance and previously served American bombers for carrying out attacks against targets in Iran. Abdulkarim is charged with involvement in conduct intended to materially assist a foreign intelligence service, and Asgir is charged with entering a prohibited place for a purpose prejudicial to the security of the United Kingdom. The arrest of the two occurred after five other British men were arrested outside the base on September 27, and following this, the American bombers were removed from the location for security reasons.
